In 1945, after the war, Fernand Lavergne started selling car registrations and issuing driver licenses for the province in his home town of St-Pierre-Jolys. The services provided by the Lavergnes' have been a corner stone since 1954. Huguette decided to work with her father in 1967.
With the launch of the new Autopac system in 1971, Fernand is endowed with a provincial agent's license. In September of that year, Raymond, his son and Raymond's wife Nicole join him in his growing business. Raymond discovers a keen interest in insurance and pursues his general insurance license in 1982. Raymond assumes the title of Insurance Broker while Nicole takes on the accounting and marketing interests of the business.
In 1997, Raymond and Nicole purchase St-Pierre-Jolys' second insurance brokerage, Assurance Magne. The office is proud to offer services in both official languages.
In 2009, BSI Insurance Brokers acquired Assurances Lavergne and Raymond and Nicole retired. Huguette continues to serve the customers at the same location.
