“This past Sept long weekend my husband and I took a 3 day camping trip into the US. I realized when we were near the border that our Blue Cross annual plan expired the next day. Since it was nealy 9 pm and the office was closed, I called my agent in Niverville at home and sheepinshly told her my predicament. She went back to town (about a 10 min drive) to the office that night and renewed the policy for us. Being in the service industry myself I felt very bad about calling her after hours for help. “In April we encountered a cracked pipe which created a new "shower" in our basement much to our surprise. Of course we noticed this at night but a call to the Carman office manager at home got results. The next day we not only had the pipe repaired but action on removing all the contents of the affected area. “My family came home from a 2 week camping vacation to discover a foot of water in our finished basement. We thought that is was covered under our policy through a different broker, but we were told that it was not because if fell under sewer back up coverage, which we though was only for city dwellers as our system was a septic tank system. The agent was so uncaring and rude that we cancelled our policy mid-term. My parents have been going to BSI in St Malo for years. I went to see them and they were super, he explained every aspect of coverage that we should have. They asked all the questions that need to be asked. They even came out to our house to make sure about our wood stove, when I could not answer. The received a great coverage ( sewer backup and all). We have been dealing with BSI ever since."

“My family and I were out at our cabin on September long weekend. My son was going to head back to Carman earlier than we were, so we walked him to his car and my husband asked if he left his "insurance sticker" with his registration as it wasn't on the licence plate.
