Regional Branch Leader – West Region
We are currently looking for a Regional Branch Leader for the West Region to join our Leadership Team. The Regional Branch Leader (RBL) is responsible for coordinating sales goals, customer service strategies, branch and region marketing/advertising strategies, operations, retention goals, and insurance licensing needs for branch offices in conjunction with senior leadership as required. The RBL oversees and helps manage the consistency of the BSI brand, service, and value to customers in the region’s branches via meetings with Team Leaders (TL) and staff. Travel is required.
Essential Job Functions
Drive Sales, Profitability, and Growth
- Responsible to help execute regional sales plans and strategies through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service, and training, consistently across all stores.
- Lead and direct the development of Branch level sales goals and action plans for the region while reviewing results with TLs and senior leadership as needed.
- Responsible to ensure that all Insurance Brokers are current and up to date with product knowledge, product use, and related product market application through a commitment to formalized training and development within prescribed timelines and standards. Will work with TLs to ensure sufficient product training and support with companies as needed.
- Will ensure that branches are able to provide a comprehensive insurance experience to customers by working with senior leadership and implementing changes and tactics according to strategy.
Customer Engagement
- Customer engagement must be a point of differentiation aimed at quality, ideas, acknowledgment, and inspiration, which leads to an emotional and loyal brand/customer attachment.
- Ensure that all Insurance Brokers greet, engage, demonstrate, inspire, and manage the floor and customer flow toward an outstanding Branch customer experience.
- Set high expectations for excellent customer service and hold the Team Leaders accountable for the measurable results associated.
- Provide expertise and support to staff by reviewing with TLs on staff development goals.
Manage Branch Operations
- Ensure that each Insurance Broker is trained and compliant with all basic management processes as per BSI Operations Manual.
- Manage teams towards acceptable Branch Operations/Human Resource compliance.
- Conduct training and audits quarterly in each branch.
- Understand and administer the HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with them, consistently between Branches.
- Review and complete reports and actions as required, working with the director of operations and VP of operations.
Recruitment/Hiring/Training and Retention of Top Talent
- Ensure the overall people plan of the region reflects high standards and is in alignment with strategic direction and goals. Work with TLs and VP HR for hiring needs as needed and align with forecasted budget.
- Manage Branches to work within scheduling budget/models, both hours and FT/PT ratio as well as Overtime Hours.
- Ensure Branches have bench strength for future management needs both in existing and new Branch markets.
- Ensure each branch has sufficient training for E&O and that staff is aware of best practices to prevent E&O claims.
Communication
- Responsible to communicate the company objectives consistently and effectively to all Team Leaders within the region through organized and scheduled conference calls and email communication.
- Establish a process to ensure that Branches have accountability to expectations on a consistent and timely basis.
- Ensure that any issues with staff, TLs, or others are managed and brought to the attention of senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive responsibility in Branch operations, with successful multi-branch operation experience desired
- A proven track record of strong performance in driving performance and meeting KPIs, coupled with successful and consistent organizational development history
- Revenue and profit-making experience
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead teams, train talent, and effect change
- Proven track record of building talent. Able to balance the need of delivering a creative experience, and a profitable result
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma in business admin, or other education and relevant experience an asset
